STEM STYLE GARDEN
2018-2020
Stem Style Garden is Getting Grown Collective’s second project and exemplifies a mission to support community -driven agricultural projects.
On a Fall afternoon in 2017, Tim Richards of Stem Style Inc. approached Getting Grown Collective’s founder, Taryn Randle, while they were working in a garden with teens at Team Englewood/Urban Prep High School. Tim shared a dream of growing food, teaching music classes and building an Earthship on his six vacant lots. Taryn shared this information with the rest of GGC and both entities began working on the land in April 2018.
Stem Style Garden offers organic vegetables, herbs, clothes and extra food items from a local food pantry. In collaboration with GGC and Gardeneers-Team Englewood, Stem Style garden hosts youth group visits and workdays.
